Scheduled send - The Outlook tool to boost staff wellbeing!

In France, if you are a company with 50 or more employees, then its against the law to email an employee after typical work hours. 

The “right to disconnect” rule introduced in 2016 (which of course was introduced pre covid) is more relevant now than ever . The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development warned in a 2017 study that almost a third of UK workers felt they could not switch off in their personal time while working remotely.

While we don’t have such a rule in the U.K as of yet, there is a nifty tool in Microsoft Outlook that will stop you sending emails to your colleagues and staff out of hours.  So even if you cant help working, use the below to keep your team on side: 

1. Create a New Message
2. Write your email as usual 
3. Select the drop down arrow next to the send button and select “Send Later”
4. Choose a time and date that is more appropriate for your team!
